There’s no doubt that audio networking is set to become progressively more commonplace in pro audio circles over the next decade. RME Network Audio devices designed to meet the demanding requirements of professional studios, immersive sound installations, live sound systems, and industrial applications. RME converters are available with Dante® or AVB/MILAN and provide a variety of models including preamps, converters and high performance sound cards.

Analog and digital options offer a wide range of flexible connectivity with ADAT, MADI, AVB/MILAN and Dante I/O via USB, to support the widest range of computers (Mac and PC). Many devices also feature options for redundant MADI, AVB and power, with automatic switchover to a redundant network connection providing an additional level of fail-safe in 'mission-critical' environments.

Since creating its first MADI product, RME has grown to become a master of the format. The ability to split, route and mix audio with guaranteed quality and latency means that MADI remains a popular choice in studio, live and broadcast environments.

RME extends its expertise to Audio Video Bridging (AVB), a set of networking standards that guarantee the uninterrupted delivery of audio via Ethernet (with both fixed latency and bandwidth reservation), and allowing for a modular approach in the creation of advanced, expandable audio networks that can be reconfigured to suit the needs of any application.

Through the implementation of AVB with IEEE and Milan standards, and using either RME’s own ATDECC controller or popular third-party options such as Hive, AVB allows for the creation of end-to-end digital networks that are both reliable and easy to manage.

Control all device states directly from the front panel for convenient, direct access to all features. RME devices can be reached over network (including wirelessly over Wi-Fi) and USB for convenient remote access, allowing the rapid creation of gain groups, phantom power switching and clock configuration. In addition, a JSON based API and even SysEx MIDI commands can be used to integrate each model virtually anywhere. The integrated routing matrix allows single channel routing across all analog and digital I/O. As such, problem-solving of signals, clocking, connectivity or other issues is both simple and straight-forward!
